How long before your wedding is your dress coming in?

DONT WORRY and yes they do alterations in less than 2-3 months. Infact alterations they do only 6-8 weeks before the wedding, even if the dress comes in sooner.

My dress came in middle of march and wedding was middle of may. But i didnt start alterations until beginning of APril bc of my schedule at that time i couldnt fit it in, whenever i called them and had available then they didnt and vice versa.

It was all done perfectly well in that time and got it all done. Infact most of the work was done 2 weeks before my wedding, since the first dress fitting i was on crunches, they couldnt measure the bottom part and i had to wait so they only did top part first. After 2 weeks i finally was able to go in and check the bottom. Well the dress was too long and they had to shorten it BUT the bottom of my dress had beading all along the bottom part, so they had to remove ALL the beading, hem the dress and then place all the beading back and it was done in time.

Thats why Im sort of worried.. I have 9 weeks to the wedding right now...

its ok bc 6 weeks is when you usually start fittings. Like i said i start my fittings first week of april and was done by my wedding so thats 6 weeks. SO you have 3 more weeks for the dress to come in and STILL be more than perfectly fine. ANd like i said above too, i was on crutches for first fitting, infact i hurt myself and was on crutches the day before my first fitting, talk about dumb luck lol. Even 2nd fitting i still had a cast on. Most of the work which was ALOT was done the last 2 weeks since they really couldnt do anything for the bottom with me on crutches. I never even tried shoes on with my dress and worked out lol. I know how it feels too, i remember worrying in march about when my dress would come in. I started FM'ing other LIW brides who were getting married in May to ask them. Well i swear like the next day or a few days after freaking out, i got the call that it came in.

yeah call them no matter what. If in the next lets say 2-3 weeks you still havent gotten it in then really go there in person and demand an answer. But i swear im not just saying this, but as of right now you are fine. I know its stressful and hard not to worry bc i remember being in the same situation. Im sure you will get a call very soon though. Usually the bridal shop purposely makes the delivery date for it to arrive to them ONLY 6-8 weeks before not earlier bc they dont want to hold dresses there for long. So you might even get a call next week.

uggghh, mine has been about 11 months now
