How long is the length of time between your ceromony and reception? Tonight I changed my reception time from 6 to 11pm rather than 7 pm to midnight because my ceromony is at 330pm. I thought 2 and half hours was way to long to wait. Am I wrong? I want to party sooner than 2 and half hours after my wedding.

My reception is about 30-40 min after the ceremony... But we are also only 4 blocks away.....

Church is at 3, and the cocktail hour is at 7...Church is about 45 min away from the RH

Originally I had a 3:00 ceremony & a 6:30 CH BUT my parents are moving to Deer Park soooo I now will be having a 1:30 ceremony & a 6 or 6:30 CH I am thinking of having a hospitality suite @ the hotel for guests that live far or who don't want to go home in-between. Truthfully I am not going to worry bc FH & I will be able to take all my pics and enjoy our CH & spend more time with our guests.

Ceremony is at 4:00, reception at 6:30 i hope thats enough time (ceremony is in manhattan, reception in LI)

Same here...ceremony/reception in the same place. Ceremony 3:00pm-3:30pm and cocktail hour starts at 4pm

My ceremony is at 3pm and my CH starts at 7:15pm. Leaving tons of time for the ceremony at my church, church pictures, park pictures, and catering hall pictures so I don't get bothered for more pictures after 7pm!

I have about 2 1/2 hours .. at first I was not happy with it but then I realized I can get all my pics done and not miss the CH .. so now I am fine with it
