the church to call you back to schedule your wedding? I am worried that it could take a while.

It took my parish like 2 days to call me back. Persistance pays off so if they aren't calling you back, keep calling them!

I was able to speak with a priest immediately. We set up a meeting with him and then scheduled our wedding (they don't do anything over the phone).
So, from start to finish it took 2 days.

It took like 2 or 3 days. We met with the priest the end the beginning of the following week to set go over wedding stuff, schedule precana, and they asked us questions like:
why do you waant to get married in the church? If our parents were married? If we attened church regularly? If we made certain sacraments?

It took us about 2 weeks to get an appointment with my church! I had to call everyday just to leave a message, but we was changing parishes so it took longer than I think it normally does. Just keep calling and be persistent!!

When I called the church to set up an appointment they were able to see us that same day. We spoke to the priest and booked the date all in the same day.
