I'm looking at all you girls' confirmed Wedding dates and suddenly feeling very VERY behind schedule...I've been told that I should be fine if i book by early 2010, however I'm feeling REALLY worried...How long did it take you girls to actually book a place? Just wanna know what I'm in for....

I think what your feeling is normal. As soon as I started to plan I started feeling soooo behind but it turns out I was able to choose from plenty of places that stil had the date I wanted available.
It took me one weekend of looking at RH before I booked. BUT I am an out of town bride and didnt have much a choice and I spent hours and hours searching online.

Took us 7 months to book. Looked at many different places in those 7 months.

It was the 1st we looked at. I knew right away. We saw 4-5 other ones but ended up going with the one we wanted after a month.

It actually took me forever to find my reception hall...we booked a year and a half after getting engaged, this past august. We are on a tight budget, so we wanted to find the best place for the best price and literally looked at almost every wedding hall in Suffolk County. It would have been a lot easier if we had more money to work with and I wasn't sooo picky

It took me 4-5 months and I probably saw 15 halls. The second one I saw was the one! I would've had it sooner, but I didn't want to settle until I knew that my church was available and I looked at other places. I'm glad I searched...it gave me a better idea of what I really wanted and what I kept running back to... Good luck!!! You'll find exactly what you want!!

Thanks so much for the support ladies. I got engaged on 8/8/09 and felt bad that I couldn't start looking at RH's until now...my FH's in the military was gone for a few months right after he popped the question...while he was gone i felt like I should be looking and booking....all of you ladies have been so helpful!!!

it took us exactly a month. We fell in love with the first place we saw, but then went to a bunch of others (13!) to compare.... we finally got tired of looking and decided it was time to go back to the first hall and negotiate.
