How long did it take yo get your marriage certificate back?
I'm so anxious to change my name and still no certificate.... Is it done by the state or the office you went to - does anyone know??

Ours was in the mailbox waiting when we got back from our honeymoon- so less than two weeks, although I don't know the exact amount of time.

You should have it by now - best bet is to call the Town Clerk's office and ask them what the status of it is. I got mine on Monday, but mine was delayed cause my Church lost it.

2 weeks. try calling the town hall after the weekend passes...did you marry in NYC/use a NYC hall for the license? if so, they are known for taking MUCH longer than any other town. you can call...they'll at least let you know if they've received it!

Ours was waiting for us when we got back from our HM! So less then 2 weeks

Quick...a week and a half later we got the one from the Church. Then 2 days later we got the one from the town

I still don't have mine either....but alot of girls on here used local town halls in Nassau and Suffolk...which is much quicker than NYC. I used the City Clerk in Manhattan....and its still not arrived. Another friend said hers took about 3 weeks to get hers from the city..just keep that in mind.

Whew~ big relief! We did go to Manhattan - 3 weeks is this Friday so I won't worry yet.
