It wasn't that bad. I used the response cards to set up the tables...we laid them out on DR table and as they came in, we placed the cards at the correct table. I didn't ask for any opinions at all...they just cause heartache! Do it with FH alone...trust me!

I had done tables even before the invites went out. Then, as the responses came in daily, I would delete people, combine tables, forecast who was/possibly coming. By the time all the responses came in, my tables were done.

I am doing it this way as they come and people that i KNOW are coming....a friend of mine said don't bother since she had to redo hers completely --good to hear that it worked out, I am rearranging as mine come in and hope it turns out like yours did

I dreaded it too and it wound up being nothing...like 2 hours. I had some issues at the end but i got to the point that there was nothing i could do and just put people where i could and thought if they want to have fun they won't be sitting too long anyway

i took me a few hours...then i went over it with DH and it took me another couple of hours to firm it up.

a few hours, use paper plates and tape peoples names down its the easiest way!![]()

use a piece of styrofome (spelling) & little toothpicks with your guests names. This is a good trick, you can keep moving your guests around, until you have it right. It should speed it up a bit for you. Good luck. I havent done mine, but we did this for a friend. :)

I played around with the names here on the LIW Seating Chart link. It was a great tool to use and really helped a lot. I think I played with them chart every day when I started getting replys lol

Not long ago. It was actually one thing that was pretty easy to do.

It really wasn't that bad- it took about 1 1/2 hours. I did it alone and then let FH move his family around. He actually only had to make two switches of family members. Now as I get replies of no, I take them out.

couple of hours...i gave my parents perference on who they wanted to sit with... other then that..i kept close groups together and magically..it all worked out by itself

Man, I am sooo happy I don't have to this, I am having Gatsby style wedding, besides some reserved table for family and older guests, it's sit where you like...wooohoooooo!

This is what I did too and it didn't change all that much - I just made lists in pencil and moved names around when necessary.
