how long did you know FH for before you got engaged?

I am just curious, I have seen a post like this before but I did a search and I can't find them.

FH and I were friends for about 5/6 years before we started to date. We had been dating 2 years and 6 months before we got engaged. We have been engaged for 1 year as of November 13th. :)

We dated 4 1/2 yrs.. I only knew him a few wks before exclusively dating him

How about 14 years - he was my best friend in HS and continued to be over the course of the years..now I know why it could never have worked out with anyone else....We were meant to be

We've been together since 12-2-06 and got engaged on 5-30-08. So we were together for about 1 1/2 years before we got engaged.

I know what you mean...same here...best friends in HS..lost touch after that... he was engaged before and had a few relationships that didn't work out... i was married before , that didn't last..
We've known eachother since we were 8 years old... it was meant to be!!!
