I plan to have my rehearsal around 5pm the friday before and my rehearsal dinner is at 6pm. (the rehearsal and the RD place is 30 minutes apart). I told my FMIL that the plan is to get in and get out!
I'm not spending an hour or so practicing how to walk down the isle and she laughed at me. She says its definitely going to take about an hour. But this isn't a church wedding and our ceremony on the beach is only 15-20 minutes long. So how long could it take?

Re: how long did your rehearsal take?
i think by the time u get everyone organized and go over questions and give it a run through once maybe twice, yes it will take about an hour.
my ceremony is on the beach too. we are having a 6pm rehearsal and a 7;15, 7:30 dinner - dinner is in walking distance
good luck!

Re: how long did your rehearsal take?
i've been in 3 weddings, and each rehearsal has taken at least an hour. there's a lot of little things and people always come late.
can you move the dinner back by an hour? if not, you're probably not going to make it especially since it's so far from the actual rehearsal

Re: how long did your rehearsal take?
I would probably plan for a bit more time. Every rehearsal I've been to has started late for some reason or another. The last one I went to didn't start until an hour after it was supposed to. We are getting married in a church and our priest told us that on average the rehearsal starts a half hour late, so that's why he plans them to be an hour long.

Re: how long did your rehearsal take?
yeah... the rehearsals usually take closer to an hour.... by the time everybody gets there(especially with friday afternoon traffic) and gets organized and stuff... i've been in 2 weddings, and then my own and they were all about an hour- i would maybe see if you could add a little more time in there somewhere...
