How long do alterations take?

I'm asking because I just purchased a sample dress today in FL, but will be moving to Seattle in February. If they start alterations in next week or two would it be out of the question for them to be done by February? I didn't feel like going into my whole story at the salon today since I didn't even think I was going to buy a dress. I'm having sweetheart neckline added, they're going to cut the train down and do a bustle.

That's hard to know whether your body won't change between February and your wedding. If you have had the same body for years, then you should be okay.
