How long do pictures take?

Between the church and the reception.. about how long do pictures take with your bridal party? I am trying to plan out the day!

I am trying to go somewhere in between for picturse.. take about an hour there.. then get to the RH early to take more pictures with the parents and grandparents before CH starts..

Edit with timeline:

Do you think this will work?

2:30-3:30 - Ceremony
3:30-4:00 - drive to picture location
4:15-5:15- take pictures
5:15-6:00- drive to RH
6:00-6:45 - more family pics

I am exaggerating times. I am sure some stuff with take some more time or less time..

when i was in my cousn's bp..it took about 45 minutes to take pics b4 ch started..but also they went to take some alone so maybe add on another half hour

It depends on if you have a big bridal party...its tends to take more time just to get everyone together. Also if you have a long list of must take photos.

I took photos at the beach for about 45 mins and then for about 45 mins at RH.

We took all of our pictures before our ceremony and they took 2 hours...we didn't have to miss our cocktail hour..it was great!

ITA... I've seen some receiving lines take an hour themselves.
Anyone know any good tips to make them go faster? Anyone ever just not have one?

im not sure you will be able to get out of the church that quick! everyone is going to have to say congrats, and tell you how beautiful you look...then there will be a bunch of pictures outside the chruch before you guys leave to take official pictures...not sure maybe your just having a ceremony not a full mall...but other than that i think you are good with the times!

We are doing a full mass unforutnately but the priest said he can do it in 30 minutes tops!.. So I added 30 min for pictures and totally forgot about the stupid recieving line. So I guess everything is pushed back a half hour. I dont know why but I feel like I have NO time in between to do anything.. meanwhile my CH doesnt start until 7.. but I want to be at the RH at 6 to take family pictures. I dont want to miss a minute of my CH

we are pretty much on the same schedule as you! i dont wanna miss the CH either! thats my fav part for eating and stuff! and i wanna get saying hi to everyone over with then thay way we dont miss a second of dancing!!!!! you will have plenty of time! dont stress it will be fine!

Ceremony is in Seaford
Reception is in East Northport

I am ideally looking for somewhere in between. FH and I have looked at what feels like a million places already. .We were going to go to CW post Campus to take pictures.. its not that far from the church but I feel like it will be too rushed and take too long to get to the RH. We were going to do a trial run next weekend

Why not take pictures in downtown northport? Its about 10 minutes away from your RH?? Its so pretty there!

Hmmm im surprised...the doc is stunning and the gazebo and the park! My sister took her pictures there and they came out great. You ARE picky! To be honest I don thtink there are too many other places in northport...crabmeadow beach? But im sure that will be croweded too...

right at the end of mainstreet...there is a playground and a big grassy area that has a gazebo in it!

Hmm thats where I thought we were. I am going to go back and look around next weekend!

I'm a pain right?! i have taken FH all over this island lookiing for places to take pictures and with my luck its going to rain!!
