How long do you have b/w your ceremony and reception??

Originally, I was going to have a 4pm church w/ a 7pm reception. Being that they are only 2miles apart you don't need time to travel. well. it turns out that they will be having communion confessions, etc.. the day of my wedding and I will have to get married at 1:30. So, I am bumping up the reception time to 6:30. Lord knows I will have plenty of time for pics now!! So how long is your in between time?

My ceremony will be at 1:00 pm for about an hour and the reception is only at 7:00pm. They're about 20 minute drive between the two. This gives all the guests plenty of time to get ready and gives us enough time to take pics with no rush.

The mass is at 3:30 and CH starts at 7
Same here! That's 2 1/2 hours in between end of ceremony and CH.

4pm ceremony (non denomiantional) and CH starts @ 4:30. All at same location

Church will probably end around 4:30, cocktail hour starts at 6. We have barely any time to fit pics in!

Ceremony starts at 7pm cocktail hour is at 7:30pm
We are using the afternoon to take pictures at Old Westbury Gardens.

Haven't done all the details yet- but we were looking at 3pm with a full mass in Queens and 7pm Cocktail Hour in Long Island...
is anyone else having such distance between the church and reception hall? I wonder if anyone will come to the church?

We are nuts too! Ceremony ends by noon, cocktail at 12:30
Yes, same for me too. We need to decide if we're going to do pictures before still so we don't miss too much of our reception.

3pm mass (so, after receiving line, out by 4:30ish i think...), with a 7:30 CH.
Church & RH are 45 minutes apart, and the hotel is 15 minutes from the RH.
I feel like i should host something for the OOT & Hotel guests...
I am going to have my mother's house set up for the oot guests. Just a few snacks and drinks so they can relax before the reception. It;s just going to be hard to have someone set it up, since everyobne will be at the church. But, don't go crazy peolpe will expect tyo keep thmselves busy for the in between time.

My space is 5 hours, the peole who are important will come to the church, and some others. But usually not everyone will attend.

10:30 ceremony 1pm CH
I hate long gaps beetween the ceremony and CH - Our church is 15 minutes from the RH and the ceremony should not be longer than 30 minutes

our mass is it 4 (originally 3 but that was the only time teh poreist could do it) and our CH begins at 730 our church and RH are about 2 minutes from each other

My ceremony is at 1 and our CH is at 6. Lots of time for pictures!!! Just the way we wanted it. We really want to attend our CH and enjoy the entire night. We want all pictures done before the CH!
