FH and I are going to the Bahamas in 6 weeks, and we thought that even though we could get away with just using our birth certificate, we may as well get the passport 'just in case' and well, it can't hurt to have one anyway.
But our trip is in exactly 6 weeks, and they say it takes 6 weeks to get (we didn't have it expedited)...
Anyone get a passport recently or know how long it REALLY takes?

I got mine fairly quickly. Proably in 3-4 weeks. That was mush fast than they told me I would get it. If you are pressed for time, I know you can go into the city and they will do it right away. I have to look up what office you go to.
