We bought a couch today (for the condo that I STILL DONT LIVE IN), anyway I changed the color of the couch, so now they are saying 8-10 weeks! Is that normal? It could be thanksgiving or later before I have a couch to sit on!

That sounds normal to me! We waited 3 months for our bedroom set.

6-8 weeks or sometimes longer is generally the stantdard wait time. We were lucky, our sofa was ready for delivery in about 3-4 weeks and our dining room set is supposed to be delivered sometime around the 22nd - 30th of October, just about 5 weeks from when we ordered it.

I think dates are a rough estimate sometimes Give them a little shpeel about youre having a HUGE holiday party on X date (a few weeks earlier ) and you REALLY MUST have it by then....is this AT ALL POSSIBLE ????? and you never know, that person youre speaking to might be able to put a RUSH on things! youd be surprised sometimes... good luck!

I would try to the little holiday talk to but I know it hasn't worked well for me lately....6-8 weeks sounds normal though!
It is all so frustrating - you finally find stuff you like and are ready to furnish your home and then you have to wait 2-3 months! I ordered my living room funiture and it took a little less than two months to get but they had told me if I changed to another color it would be much longer. They only keep 2 colors in stock. But of course now I get the stuff and it is all a mess and now I have to wait another 2-3 months for them to replace what they screwed up! So Frustrating!!!!!!
