I was set against having bridesmaids or maid of honor... but it seems I can't get away from it. And I can't seem to make a decision yet. My FH has 3 men on his list to be groomsmen, and I guess it will look weird if I don't have any.
So how long do bridesmaid dresses take to order?
My wedding dress is taking up to 6 months, is it this bad for bridesmaid dresses?

It depends on where you order from. David's Bridal is fast -- sometimes they can even buy off the rack. RK bridal is about 2-3 months. All dresses could be rushed for an additional fee if necessary.
It depends on the designer and the store you order them from. My girls wore Jim Hjelm dresses (ordered through Pearl's Place), and it took about 3 months for them to arrive.

I ordered my Alfred Angelo BM dresses through Pearl's Place and they took 3 months to arrive. Leave enough time between their arrival and the wedding date so the BMs can get them altered.
But the bigger issue is your bridal party. Please don't feel obligated to have BMs just because your FH has GMs. Uneven sides are increasingly common now. Good luck!

most BM dresses take about 3-4 months, so you've got some time, but not much.

the avg. seems to be 3-4 months. david's bridal usually has them in within 4-6 weeks

My girls ordered their dresses in Dec. and they are still not here. They were told May and I have a July wedding. I was a little scared but the girls really loved the dress!

Macy's Bridal told me 3-4 months. I would try to order as soon as possible. They have a good selection at Macy's Bridal too!

usually about 8 weeks .. and if they go to the store and it fits they can buy it on the spot ...

in my experience no more than 3 months unless you are getting dresses made, or they are designer, like vera wang... but you can buy off the rack. Keep in mind if you have not asked anyone yet, keep the cost down, b/c it's hard to ask at the last min. to have someone come up with a dress dep. & adt'l costs.

I believe ours took about 3 months. They were ordered in July (beginning) and came in the beginning of October.

RK Bridal is between 2-4 months. I had ordered mine at the end of December and it came at the end of February.

D a v i d 's Bridal sends bridesmaids' dresses within 6-8 weeks. My sister got her wedding gown there last year and it came within one week (!!) and our bridesmaids' dresses were here within one month!!
