How long for pictures between ceremony and reception?
I am trying to figure out if I will have enough time to take pictures at a different location after my ceremony. My ceremony will probably end around 3:15, but then I'm sure we will be spending some time taking pics at the church. I want to be at the reception around 5:30 to take pics there, but it is about 45 minutes away from my church. If I were to go to an arboretum in between, would it be worth it? How long do people usually spend taking pics at each place?

i have the same dilema.... church is at 230 and CH at 5... about 40 minutes apart - my photographer suggested we go some where in between and close to the highway like westbury gardens.... so i guess thats what we will do but i think we will prob have abt 45 min there after pictures at the church...

My church was at 230...it was a full mass so you figure on 45mins then another 15 for receiving line. we took pics at the church. I think we got out of the church at 4pm. then stopped at the beach on the way to the reception hall and arrived at the RH at 5pm for more pics. The church and RH were 15 mins apart and we were still rushed.
Plan on traffic.....even more time if it is a Saturday afternoon during the summer cause there will be added traffic.
