I'm having a mass along with the ceremony and it begins at 3pm. My cocktail hour starts at 7:30pm I was worried that there would be too much time between the 2. But remember my wedding is on a friday in July and I'm coming from Queens to LI, plus we have to take pics in between. What do you think? Is there too much time in b/w?

A full mass? If so no. Mass 3, walkdown the aisle 3:15-about 4 ends, receiving line, pics outside church, drive to LI, take more pics at hall...time will fly

a full mass can be anywhere from 45 mins. to an hour. A ceremony is about 20-30 mins. Mine was about 25 mins.

My church promises an hour! My church starts at 4:00pm & my cocktail hour is at 7:00pm. I'm 15 min from where I'm 'pretty sure' I'm going to take my photos. And then another 15 min to the hall. So I'm hoping not to have a problem. I wanted a 3:00pm mass but my Church said the first wedding on Fridays is at 4:00. You can tell me to rush the receiving line! Have the bridal party rush people out!

I am a bit nervous my church doesn't have a great record of starting the ceremony on time! But I will ask 45 mins I can deal with but an hr and 15 in church alone ? I dunno
