How Long is the Break Between Your Ceremony and Reception?

How Long is the Break Between Your Ceremony and Reception?

It seems like alot of us are doing evening receptions, and getting married in church, so I wondered if I'm not alone in having a ceremony at 2:30 and a CH starting at 7:30?

So, what is the difference between the start time of your ceremony and the start time of your CH/reception?

I'm getting married at my RH so my CH is immediately following my ceremony.

the church is at 4pm and then CH starts at 7:30pm... but guests will have to travel 45 mins from the church to RH

Me too, and actually we wanted the latest possible reception, and 2:30 was the latest the church would give us. So, we're going to take pics at church, then head to Old Westbury Gardens. I figure the wedding is over at 3:30, then there are pics (church is gorgeous, so probably nearly an hour) then OWG from 4:30 to 6 and our RH will let us into our photo and bridal suites as early as 5:30, so we can relax, freshen up, take pics, etc. before the actual event . . . . It is a loooong break though! My photographer is really going to be working his butt off!

Church 2:30 pm
CH 7pm
RH 8-1

But remember by the time you are done with the ceremony and receiving line & then pics at the church its really about 400 by the time your out. So then your off to your pic at whatever place yypu want to do them before u know it time for CH i only want to be at ch about 30 minutes. So i think its perfect for what we need to do.
