How Long is the Break Between Your Ceremony and Reception?

It seems like alot of us are doing evening receptions, and getting married in church, so I wondered if I'm not alone in having a ceremony at 2:30 and a CH starting at 7:30?

So, what is the difference between the start time of your ceremony and the start time of your CH/reception?

we're not doing a church or rh ceremony, so our situation is a little different from most. our ceremony @ the lighthouse will prob wrap up at 6:45, and we're starting the reception @ 7:30 or 8 (we'll see how the schedule looks when i really start to plan the day). it's not going to be much time for guests to get from robert moses to west sayville, so they may as well be back-to-back.

Church is at 4:30 and RH is at 7 for now... but we're still able to change the time of our RH if we need to.

Church is at 3:30 and CH starts at 5. The reception site is only like 2 miles down the road from the church so commuting won't be a big deal....I just wanted everyone to be having CH (it's all windows) while the sun sets on the Vineyard.

this has been a problem for me. i have the option of a 4pm or 5pm ceremony, but my cocktail hour doesn't start till 8pm! i want the early ceremony so i can decorate the church, but i don't wnat my guests to be stranded for an extra hour. my RH is only 15 minutes from the church.
