How long is the first dance supposed to be?

FH really love a song but it really picks up after about a minute. We don't have the budget to take dancing lessons and FH hates dancing period! Lol is a minute too short for a first dance? After a minute we would move into the Parent dances.

We're doing the same. A little while of us alone, then invite all couples. Parent dances were doing later on in the evening after dinner.

Yes!! That's a great question. I hadn't even thought of it. Private lessons are so expensive, my FH dances but not like that, and our song is I guess kinda long...we were thinking about doing dancing for a minute or two just us and then asking couples to join us. I'm glad there are other brides thinking of doing the same. And yes, parent dances later on in the ceremony.

We only danced by ourselves for like a minute, maybe minute and a half and the had all couples called onto dance floor. Ill tell you, that minute went by VERY fast. I actually wished we had danced by ourselves for a little longer

We were on the dance floor by ourselves for a good 2 minutes and I enjoyed every second of it. Trust me it goes by very fast so it really does seem to be like like you're dancing forever. Lol it goes by real fast!

Our photographer wants us to dance for a whole song, which works out for us. It's going to end up being about 3 minutes, because we both like different versions of the same song. We picked Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You, but I like the Lauren hill version and he likes the original. So we will start with his, then have the DJ mix into mine and then do dance music, LOL.
