...to wait for a vendor to respond to you??? When do you decide to give up and pick another person to work with???
Specifically I am talking about Oksana. We emailed last week and literally one week ago to date I sent her a few available dates to schedule a trial....i have not yet heard back! Do i try again or do I say it isnt meant to be and find someone else? From what I am reading on these boards there are a ton of other good makeup people on here so do i wait to hear from her (try her again) and book with her bc she seems to be one of the best, or do i say i prefer good customer service combined with good makeup???
Im leaning towards moving on....so many options out there...i am considering: sandra baldini Kelly - glam me up M * I * A lola loves makeup Cosmetic Artistry MYA

********Ok update 7/23...I emailed Sandra baldini and Mya cosmetic Artistry yesterday morning and still no response! I swear i would think me email is not working except that i am still getting email from friends and a ton of other junk mail. is it me?!?! is it the date??!?! so frustrated! Next on my list...M * I * A* and Kelly from Glam Me Up....

it doesn't hurt to start getting trails with other people you don't have to book with anyone on the spot. i have herd that she is a bit hard to get in contact with. it is the summer so she could be on vacation.

i think a week to get back to you is too long ... you should have someone who will get back to you in a timely manner!
what if you have a question for her a few days before your wedding? she won't respond until AFTER the wedding?
start looking at other people ... or if you really want to use her, email her again and ask if she received your previous email (then give her 2 days tops to respond)

There are plenty other options out there...I HATE lack of responsiveness so for me I would have a bad taste in my mouth and it would never work going forward at this point.

I am having the same issue with Oksana. I e-mailed her on June 15th, and didnt hear back from her until July 1st. I e-mailed her a week ago and havent heard from her yet. I know it is the wedding season, but still. Good luck.. I hope we both get a call or an e-mail soon!

hey all shes amazing but is soo supper busy and does not check her emails everyday-pls give her time because she is worth it!! I already had my makeup done twice with her and some are in my album!! check her availability on her website to see if she as a wedding on your day cus she only does one wedding at a time.

Oksana couldn't do my date, so I booked with Karen A. Pics in my albums. She was great, very timely with emails DESPITE being on vacation in Italy. She was very personable and I think a perfect fit for my wedding! Google Karen A Makeup Artist, I think she's on here too.

I already checked her availability and confirmed with her that she is available for my wedding day. I told her I wanted to book her, all I have to do is giver her the deposit. I guess thats why this is so frustrating. Even though I told her that I wanted to book her, im afraid that she is going to book someone else since she hasnt taken my deposit yet. However, the only reason that hasnt happened is because she hasnt gotten back to me. Im just freaking out because when I decide on something i want it right away, im just afraid of losing my date.

I say while you wait for her to respond get trials from others. She'll eventually contact you, she gets very busy and reads emails on certian days. Good luck!!

Honestly if you have communication problems at the beginning run! (Thats just my advice). I'm using Mya for hair and Kelly for makeup.

That is definately one of my pet peeves!!! Its like I'm willing to spend a lot of money with you, if you can't be bothered, I'll go somewhere else!
I was talking with a sales person when I was blocking rooms and trying to quotes and what not, and there was this one woman who gave me the biggest attitude and could careless to talk to me! I definately did NOT go with that hotel. I am trying to bring my business to you and you're being rude? lol Anyways yah I would definately start searching for others.

Oksana took a while to get back to me too, but she was so worth it!!! Also, you get her phone number once you book so if there are any concerns before the wedding you can speak with her on the phone.

She was booked on my date but I totally agree, she is worth it (I was VERY picky with makeup--she did my bpics and I was extremely happy)----she is just busy but will be great for day of.
