I was just curious as to how long your commute is everyday? I've always been spoiled and lived close to where I worked/student taught, but next year I might not be so lucky, so I was wondering.

mine is aboout 25-35 minutes depending on traffic, but soon I will be getting a new job, so who knows how long it will be!!

45 min to an hour, brooklyn to manhattan. for some reason, the ride home takes about 40 min.

I live on the Queens/Nassau Border (LITERALLY) on the Queens side in Bellerose. I work in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. I take the Cross Island to the Grand Central Parkway to the Jackie Robinson Parkway everyday. It can be anywhere from a half hour to an hour and a half depending on accidents and traffic flow. The Jackie is a pure horror.

it takes 12 minutes from walking out my door to plopping down at my desk (maybe less if the elvators werent so slow )

I live in Bayside Queens and commute to mid-town Manhattan via express bus. The morning commute is usually quick - 1 hour door to door. Going home (with the midtown traffic) is usually 1.5 hours.

about an hour.... if i do not leave my house or work on time it could be an hour and 1/2 or more
NOT to mention if it is raining or snowing out...my commute can go up to 5 hours or more

I take the LIRR to Penn - then the subway downtown. Door to door - 2.5 hrs each way. It s*cks!

I live 28 miles from work....if I leave before 7am it usually take 30 min....but since I usually leave at 7am it takes about 45 minutes.
coming home is at least 45 min. to an hour...no matter what.

my commute is 2 miles. it is so great--it takes me 7 min to get to work each day and that is with traffic.

I've always worked fairly close to home. My commute right now is approximately 10-15 minutes.
My DH's commute usually takes about 1 hour there and 1 hour back. but on snow days, it could take up to 2-3 hours just to get home.
