How long are you going for?
We're trying to stay within a certain budget and for that we can do 8 nights max, I think. Is that long enough? We're only doing Tahiti and Bora Bora, not Moorea.

we did two nights in tahiti and then a 10-day cruise through the south pacific.
ETA: how long are you planning on staying in tahiti? there really is not that much to do in tahiti.

Not staying even one night in Tahiti... it's basically just a stop over for a few hours! I heard the same -- that there is not much to do on Tahiti itself!

We were in Tahiti for about 12-13 nights. We got stuck in Tahiti for 1 night due to heavy rains on arrival which cut into our time in Moorea which was then only 1 night stay there; then we went to Bora Bora for 5 nights; then a day trip to Raiataea; then 5 nights in Huahine.

Two in Tahiti Four in Moorea Six in Bora Bora.

We're doing 10-14 days. Haven't narrowed it down yet - will do this weekend.
We considered Tahiti and I wouldn't do it for less than 12 days. It's just too far to travel to, to go for any less. JMO.
