20 months. A bit long, but we got engaged in October and wanted a summer wedding. The summer following our engagement was pretty much booked solid at the places we were most interested in, so we pushed back to the next summer. It actually worked out great because we were able to save for the wedding AND our house. ![]()

I was unemployed and did nothing but plan, we didnt have a big traditional wedding, just family about 70 ppl, got married in the park around by my parents house and rented out our fav italian resutant in frank.sq. and we had a blast!! i didnt think i would get the invtiations done and the favors ordered in enough time but everything came through!!![]()

a little less than two years---but not really lol -- we got engaged 10/20/02 and we are getting married 11/6/04

2 Years. We had a lot of family stuff going on, some deaths in the family, etc, so wanted to wait... plus wanted to live togehter first to 'test the waters' so to speak!

Rachel: we had cake too. Brian had a sheet cake made up that read 'will you marry me'
He wanted cake from this one particular bakery so he had the cake made and the proposal on it. when he picked up the cake, he put the box with the ring in it on top of the cake.

11 months for me! I wish we could have done it sooner but we are paying for the wedding so we need to save for awhile first.

16 1/2 months, but only because we got engaged in May (mother's day) and I wanted an October wedding, but I wasn't going to knock myself crazy to get it all done in 5 months, so we waited for the next year!![]()
