How long were you dating before FH proposed? We were dating 15 months with a 6 month engagement.

Together for 4 years. He proposed a month after our 4 year anniversary and we just had our 5 year anniversary! 14 month engagement--too long! Shorter time frame forces you to make decisions quicker and tolerate less bs! Oh well...

Reading through the posts I thought I won the long term dating period....but you have me beat. FH and I were dating 8.5 years before he proposed. Last week was our 9 year anniversary and we will be marrried in July! (9 month engagement)
Hopefully our long term dating will bring good luck for a long term marriage!

We were together for over 6 1/2 years when we got engaged. When we get married it will be a little over 8 years that we are together and we will be engaged for 1 1/2 years by our wedding.
