How mad would you be? Update for you all on pg 2- especially DjPILL.

I am trying to decide how mad I should be.

Today dh and I supposed to go on the ferry to Connecticut to babysit my 1 yr old niece. I have been looking foward to this.
Dh went out last night and I asked him please don't stay out all night so you are not too tired saturday.

He came stumbling in at 2:30am, so very drunk, and passed out. He has been up since 5am throwing up.

So, now I have to go to Con by myself, or bring him and let him be miserable (and miserable company). He swears he will be ok by the (3:00).

I almost feel like he is being punished enough (almost).
But why last night of all nights did he have to drink SO much?

So, how mad would you be?

I personally would be ticked off, because it was very inconsiderate! He knew in advance what the plans were for today. JMO

i'd be a wee bit peeved...yup. leave him...knowing my fh, he'd be miserable and i wouldn't want him around like that if i was looking forward to something. that sounds so mean. but still, go, have fun, let him rest it off. and later, tell him that you were bothered.

i would be peeved- its happened to me before. we were supposed to go to a big dinner at my dads house in conn. he got so drunk the night beofre and came home late. so i left him. i didnt really want to be around him b/c i was so mad and he was really hung over. SO i went up to my dads by myself. this was before we got married... its gotten better

Leave Mike how and tell him that I will call him later to yell at him

Steph I would be pissed he knew about this for awhile. You didn't go out and get drunk last night and he should have known better-- BAD BOY!

While the puking since 5AM was partial punishment, I personally would drag his *** on the ferry and allow the motion of the boat make him sick again!

So my answer is...I'd be ROYALLY pissed.

I think you girls are being a tad harsh... makes me glad my girl doesn't have the same views.

I always felt the key to a strong relationship is the ability to still go out and do your thing. So your husband went out and got a little drunk. Its not that big a deal. Believe me... from what you are saying... he is royally paying for it now and if he had to do it again he wouldn't have gotten so drunk.

Plus... going to conneticut to babysit your niece doesn't sound like a very exciting thing to do. I think you are pissed off more because now you don't have someone to keep you company. You should be happy that he still goes out with his friends. Would you rather him just be miserable and not go out?

You wanted him there with you today... but thats not going to happen now. He even said he would still go... if you wanted him there that bad you would still have him come with you. So what if he will be hungover? How is that going to change anything?

If you want to sulk over it all night thats your choice. I can see if it was something more important... like dinner with your father (like an above poster said) or something else and he screwed up. But its just babysiting. Come on.

Sorry I don't agree... but its just how I feel.

Personally, I dotn' think it's what he's missing out on that is important, whether it be dinner or babysitting. The thing that would get me upset would be that she asked him not to stay out too late, and he agreed...but then went out and did the exact opposite. It's a matter of respect as I see it, and while it may be a minor mistake, it would bother me a lot because I know I wouldn't do it to him if the tables were turned.

Wow, you live up to your name.

The point of it all is this... she was looking forward to the two of them doing this... she made it clear to him that maybe he shouldn't go out on such a bender. And he obviously didn't give her enthusiasm for today a moment's notice.

P.S. While you might feel that babysitting is a drag... it's their niece, the feelings might be different.

Yeah but he still offered to go with her. He even said he would be fine by 3pm. So he will be hungover. I don't see what the big deal is. Nothing has really changed as far as I see it.

Yeah she asked him not to stay out late, but come on. He was obviously out with the guys having a good time. When a guy is going out to the bar with a bunch of his friends... telling him to 'be home early' is like opening the cookie jar for a kid and telling him 'don't eat any'.

Based on the fact that he still offered to go... I don't see why she can be pissed off.

LOL what makes you think that? What does my name have to do with anything?

Anyways... I am sure I am not the only person on here that is curious to hear how this day made out by the original poster.

oooh.. you shouldn't say those type of things on a website with a lot of ladies.. personally I believe family comes long before getting pissed drunk with your friends.. he should have had a little more respect for his wife! Maybe you FW can put up with some immaturity.. but sometimes men need to know to grow up!

Hahahahahah. Well i'll admit... I said what I said to see more or less what kind of reaction I would get. Kinda to rile you ladies up. I can be a little sarcastic at times. Its all in good fun. But come on... just like you said its a website full of ladies... we need a man's point of view here.

I saw all the 'off with his head' posts... and I had to chime in. Us guys have to stick together.

And ok i'll be honest... if it happened to me I would be annoyed too. Its happened to me before... my girl showed up kinda messed up one night/morning. I was annoyed but I got over it.

But again like I said... believe me he was definitely paying for it bigtime getting sick and all. Any guy in their right mind... if they could turn back the clock and not get that wasted... they wouldn't. Cut the guy a 'little' slack.
