Re: How many
it took a loooooooong time for me to come to this decision---but i am changing it.
i brought up hyphenating it...and FH blew a gasket.....and let me know that if i didn't change my name he would be VERY MAD. lol
he's giving me the wedding i've always wanted...so i guess i can give up the name!

Re: How many
Not changing it...definitely not for work, still debating about in my personal life...I just feel very attached to my last name and feel like I would be giving up a lot of my identity by changing it. I might once kids come along but for now I am keeping my name.

Im thinking about doing the hyphen.
Ok so when you hyphen do you still have to do a legal name change?
Change your name on your SS card. That's major. if you do any changes thats the first thing you get done. Then you do the ID/Drivers License and then bank cards, credit cards and so forth
Oh yeah Im changing my last name.

Re: How many
I'm changing it, but I know it will be difficult for me to do so. I love my last name, and my parents don't have any sons to pass it on.

Re: How many
i don't know. on one hand i want to keep my name, on the other i kinda want to change it.... i really have to think about that one. and talk to fh.... i think he's pretty sure i'm changing it... i just don't want to hurt him. =0\
i don't want to hyphenate though. our names are WAAYY to long! ((watch, this is what i'll end up doing ))

Re: How many
Hyphen. I originally wanted to keep my last name for work only (since I am the first and only doctora in the Martinez family) , but have been told that it becomes difficult with licensing and other paperwork -
