how many

Re: how many

It took about 3-4 shops, and 20 dresses before I found mine. The minute I tried it on I knew it was the 'ONE'

Average time in each shop was about 2 hours also.

Re: how many

I had all these pics of the ones I thought I wanted - and my all time favorite, this strapless David's Bridal dress with embroidered blue flowers - it just killed me it was so pretty - made me look HUGE! I looked like sausage bursting from its casing! Even my wonderful mother was like 'Mmm. Ah...no, sweetie. That one does you no justice. I think not.' lol

Re: how many

Total of 15 gowns @ 4 different salons.

1st salon: 4 gowns in under 30 minutes.

2nd salon: 6 gowns under an hour. (The first 4 they made me try on b/c the designer was there for a trunk show. The next two my mom and sister picked out. I fell in love with the last one.)

3rd salon: 1 gown, then I knew it had to be the one I fell in love with from the 2nd salon.

4th salon: 4 gowns under an hour, one of which was my favorite from the 2nd salon (2 of which were by the designer that was there for a trunk show...again, not by my choice.) Purchased the gown that day!

I went t Macy's bridal salon tried on one dress I saw in a magazine and thought it would be 'the one', hated it on me, tried on a second Maggie Sottero dress (I love her dresses) and fell in love with it---ordered it right there...

Re: how many

I went to three places and maybe tried on a total of nine dresses. However when I tried on my dress I knew right away and immediately stopped shopping!

Re: how many

I went to 8 or 9 salons and tried on at least 5-7 in each place.

I found the dress in the last salon I went to and it was the 3rd of 5 I tried on there.

Re: how many

I tried on a total of 12 dresses. I went to two different bridal stores. Bonaventure in Nassau county and Adrienne's in Islip. As soon as I tried on my dress I knew it was the one for me. In fact, the dress was so meant for me that I got stuck in it for 1/2 hour and they had to cut the zipper out in order to get it off me.
Don't worry-you'll know your dress when you see it.

Re: how many

LoL

It was kind of presumptious, but I knew that I was going to be married to Peter sooner or later, so I had my dress all picked out....

I found my dress after a long internet and phone search, and went to the bridal plaza and was flabbergasted when I saw it.

I put a down payment on it within 2 weeks!
