I am not sure how this is done. Do you actually send an invitation to him and his wife (if he is a deacon)? do they actually want to attend the affair afterwards? I would like to hear what you all are doing.

We sent our priest one- but I am pretty sure he has an afternoon wedding that day- so I am sure he isnt coming. I think you are supposed to send them one- I think most times they show up (if they can) and leave shortly after. I guess every priest or deacon is different.

But long story short- Yes, invite him.

We are - he is a friend of the family - i just dont know if i should invite him or him and his daughter - his wife passed away a few years ago - and i used to be friends with his daughter - but we drifted apart and havent talked for a bunch of years - i dont know what we are going to do.

We are inviting him, but I don't know how to go about getting his address. I feel stupid. I guess I could just send it to the church. Not really sure!

I think we are inviting our priest... and my guess would be to send the invitation to the rectory, not the Church.
