How many bridal shops did you go to?

Original post by jar823

I was just wondering how many bridal shops you gals went to before you found your dress???

I have quite a few appointments. But I don't want to go overboard. And then I won't be able to make a decision. All the dresses are beautiful!

I went to three, and had good experiences at all three.
-Lillettes in Baldwin- loved them, the salesperson was so nice and really helped me find a style I liked

RK Bridal SOO many dresses. Perfect if you dont really know what you like yet, or want to try on tons of different styles just for fun. I went on a weekday afternoon, it was pretty empty. The dresses are not in the best condition, but you get a general idea.

Bridal Reflections (Carle Place)- I bought my gown there. I have had a good experience so far, and the atmosphere is wonderful. We worked w. Maddy, shes great, zeroed in on what I wanted and brought me tons of dresses in that style. Also stayed under the budget I gave her, and did not pressure me at all. Highly recommend them.

I would say that I went to about 7 shops. I finally found the dress after trying on probably over 50! But it was worth it! :) Good luck!

I had actually picked a dress out of a magazine a few months before we became engaged. I went to 2 stores looking for it. Neither store had it but the second store that I went to, which was the one that I wanted to deal with (because I have to pass it everyday to come home from work) offered to order it for me, so I could try it on, and then decide if I really wanted it or not. As soon as I tried it on, I knew it was the one. So did my mom, and my MOH.

just one store.
I tried on about 5 dresses and the saleswoman pulled THE ONE out. I originally had said no...too much beading. So she showed me one with less. I decided I liked the beading, she brought THE dress out again and asked, are you sure you don't want to try it on? I gave in, I put it on, and I knew!
I look at pictures of other dresses but I still think it is perfect for me
