i have 8 girls...he has 8 guys...
i picked my girls...he picked his guys...nobody has any say in it other than us.
i am not having any girls from his side in it bc i have my friends and family that come before them, just like his guys....
so its 8 girls 8 guys....no fg or rb

stick to your guns and stop at 7. I have 1 MOH, 6 BM. of the BM, 2 are out of obligation, and I still have one friend that I don't know what I'm going to have her do yet, but I'm not having her be a BM. too many already as it is.
but seriously, can you cut back to just your MOH or less? I mean, if you have asked them, you have asked them and you can't necessarily go back, but if you can, I would. the higher you go, the more expensive it will get.

one flower girl ----one ring bearer
we were thinking of asking more friends to be in our BP In the end I decided to only selected people really close to us.

we are having 3 people each. FH and I wanted to keep the bridal party small. my sister is maid of honor, i'll probably ask FH's sister to be my matron of honor and i'm having one of my girlfriends - the one i've been friends with the longest - she's my best. if I would have included my other girlfriends, then my girl cousins might get offended, and so on and so on - so its just easier to keep it small - less family drama this way and i'm hoping people are understanding and not offended because i am only choosing 3 people. im sorry you have to go through that. its hard but don't worry you should do what you would like to do. don't let anyone influence you into making decisions that you are uncomfortable with. its about you and FH and what makes the two of you happy and what the two of you want.

honestly we decided only people who were important to us woulld be a part of it and so far so good...I have 5 girls 2 are my MOH(my sisters) 1 is FSIL, and other 2 are close friends

i have 1 MOH and 6 BM... i almost thought of an extra BM bc i felt bad-- then i was like you know what--i cant base my decision on that, i need to do what i REALLY want to do and not what other people want me to do. Its hard, but if you REALLY REALLY are upset about having these extra people, and you know one day you will regret it, you may have to just tell people you've changed my mind and would rather have a small BP, and ask people not to be offended.. ( i know its way harder said than done!! )

I am having 5 BMs....why not have 7? That seems like a good number...and it's not like you're paying for their dresses...but I understand if you don't, that's your personal choice..
