How many bridesmaids

Hi Ladies!

I have a wedding party of 9 bridesmaids, two junior bridesmaids and one flower girl. I come from a large family, and my friends that I have in my wedding like my sisters whom I have literally known for my whole life. Anyway, everyone I tell how big my wedding party is makes some sort of rude comment to me, which is getting old. I was wondering how many bridesmaids everyone has? Is 9 too many?

I have 5, but you could say

'Yes, that's a lot of people, but I am blessed with people who want to be close to me on my wedding day. Do you think I should hurt their feelings because you think that it is too large of a bridal party.'

I had 4, originally 5. I dont really think that there is a 'number' you are supposed to have or not, it depends on you and how you feel about those people. IMO 9 is alot, but that is only b/c I could barely handle the 4 I had

i have 10 bridesmaids and two flowergirls

my FH has 11 groomsmen we always wanted a huge wedding!

I agree that nine is a lot, but I did not know who to cut out, and the one person I did, was really hurt so I asked her to be in the party. I guess I just figured I am only getting married once, so if people want to be in my wedding then the more the merrier.

i have 4 bridesmaids, 1 junior bridesmaid- 4 groomsmen and my sorority (6girls) will be 'guests of honor and walk down the aisle ahead of my bridal party.

As long as all these girls are girls you are SURE you will remain close to in 10-20 years than it does not matter how many you have.

You should feel lucky that you have sooo many close women in your life

Well that I know for sure, they are either my sister, my soon to be sister in law, nieces, or people I have known for 27 years, which is my WHOLE life, we were all raised together. The only person I knew less I have known for 11 years and I did not originally ask and she got very upset with me.

Nine is a lot, but if they are all important to you & you think you can handle it, then ignore the rude comments & go ahead with having all of them. I had 4 bridesmaids & a flowergirl.

I have 6 BM's and one FG. I dont think 9 is too much. I have seen BP's with over 25 people.

I have 4 BMs and 1 MOH. I know someone who had 10 BMs because she couldn't narrow it down further.

Be prepared for your fair share of drama, but it affects even those of us with smaller BPs.

Who cares what people say about it, it's your wedding party! My friend's sister had 12 ON EACH SIDE of the party and her pictures were unbelievable! Enjoy it!

just think of 9 gurls trying to decide on 1 type of dress That should give you a good answer

as for myself, it looks like i'll be having 1 MOH, 3 BM's and 2 JrBM's.... 4 gurls is enough for me to handle

lol, you spelled it right. I feel bad asking certain people. At my friends wedd, its took like a half an hour for 17 gm/bm to walk down the aisle at the church
