just curious....How did you go from going on dates to dating/item???

we met on a thursday, went to the movies that friday, he came to hang out with me at my parents sat night, I went to his house on Sunday, and monday he asked me if he could call me his girlfriend

Well, we started dating in June, but I had plans to go to Israel for a month, and I didn't want to be attached when I went. We had 2 or 3 dates before I left, but we had been friends for 2 years before this. He asked me out in the airport at 5am when my plane landed back in the US.

We were in HS at thentime and no one dated, so it was different. We were firnd and we knew we liked each other. We went to a aprty together and we kissed, and I guess that was the start of it... we went to the Jr. Prom together, and somewhere a wee or so later, we had a very serious discussion and decided to be bf and gf..lol

Hmmm...don't remember exactly...I remeber a period of thinking OMG, is this for real, is he dating other people. And then before I knew it, it was about 3 months later and we were still together! and spending all of our time together.

After our first date I wasn't interested in seeing anyone else, and I sort of knew he wasn't seeing anyone else because we talked daily and spent the better part of every weekend together. We never discussed being 'official' (it was just weird and awkward, maybe because we were in our 30s?)

Anyway, after about two months he asked me if I'd like to go away with him sometime, and I sort of teasingly asked 'Does this mean that I'm your girlfriend?' and he said, 'I think so...do you want to be my girlfriend?' And that was that.

DH and I were hanging out for a while before we were anything offiial. We started casually dating June of my senior year and I was leaving for college at the end of the summer, so we weren't really supposed to be 'anything.' In fact, after our first kiss he told me the next day that he really liked me, but I would never be his girlfriend because he just wasn't interested in having one (he had messed around with plenty of girls in high school, but he never had a girlfriend) I think we finally figured out we were a couple when I left for school and we spoke every day. He told me he didn't realized how much he cared about me until I was gone. So after driving home every weekend to be with him, I left school after the first semester and went to school closer to home so we could be together.
