How many days are you taking off of work before the wedding?

How many days are you taking off of work before the wedding?
I am getting married on a Saturday and I am not sure how many days to take off prior. I definitely put in to take off the Friday before and the Monday after. We aren't able to go on a honeymoon until several months later. FH is a a teacher.
Do you think I will need the Thursday too? Everyone keeps telling me there will be so much to do. Am I being really naive or over esimating how much I will get done prior to tat week?
Please give me your opinions.

I would take the Thursday off too....just in case, you don't want to be hectic right before the wedding!

I took a week off, but I'm OOT. I had been saving up vacation days for this.
I'd try to bookend your current vacation plans with one more day. In other words, can you take both Thursday and Tuesday off? I always find the few days before a vacation get really hectic at work b/c there are so many loose ends to tie up. And then a day at the end just to catch up on sleep.

i'm getting married on a sunday, but i'm only taking off the friday before. i'm OOT and have to fly home, but because we wanted to take our HM right away, i needed to use all of my time for that because we're taking 2 weeks. (the HM is only 10 days, but the rest is essentially travel time from NY to HM, from HM to NY and NY back to AZ, where we live) i wouldn't even be taking the friday before the wedding if it wasn't for the fact that FH and i will need to get our marriage license that day!! i'm a little nervous that just taking friday won't be enough, but there's nothing i can do.

i'd take the thursday... it's 4 days till my wedding, and u def need that extra day to get things done so u can chill the day b4 the wedding

thurs, fri, sat, then wedding. So 3 total (2 work days)

If all goes as planned I'll be taking thursday and friday off. I'd really like 2 full days before the wedding to tie up last minute stuff and well, get my beauty rest

I plan to take a full week off before. With my work schedule, if i'm not on vacation I can be out the door on a moment's notice. I'll have so many loose ends to handle for that reason exactly that i'm going to need all the time I can get. Luckily my job is great w/ taking time.

I'm taking two days off before the wedding. Plus the day of the wedding and then time for HM.
Getting married on a Friday. Taking off the Wed and Thurs before and the day of (Friday), and then another week-2 weeks for the HM.

I had the time to take, so I took the 5 days before the wedding. It was one of the best decisions I could've made. Regardless of how prepared I was throughout the planning process, I was still running around doing last minute things.

Right now, I'm planning on taking off the Thurs and Friday before... Total time off will be 3 weeks! I can't wait!

I have vacation the whole week before our wedding. I really lucked out. The schools have off the week before. I am so happy.

i may have RD on thurs night so- if i do im taking thurs and fri off, weddings sat, then we'll prob leave for the HM wed for 12 days-- wow thats a lot of time offf!!! oh well!

Probably Tues and Wed...Thurs is Thanksgiving, Friday is the wedding.
