how many dresses did you try on before you 'knew'

I thought dress shopping would be easy because i knew exactly what type of dress i wanted (trumpet cut, strapless, lace).

All the dresses I've tried are so beautiful, and they're all so-the-same-but-different.

How do I figure out which beautiful trumpet cut, strapless, lace dress is the best?????

i'm going crazy!!!

i hear you. dress shopping is not as fun as i thought it would be. you will know when you've found 'the one' when all you do is compare every dress to that one. just keep trying them on. I went to 4 different places and had some bleh experiences but i did find my baby. probably tried on at least 30 different dresses.

It was the 1st dress I tried on at the 1st store. I tried on many other dresses after and went to different stores, just to make sure it was the one. I also researched online and liked that dress, it was the 1st dress I asked to see. I guess I just knew my style.

It's something that you'll just know honestly

I tried on a bazzilion I went to 4 different places and tried on 10-15 dresses in each place. With a lot of them I was like, 'Ok, I could get married in this dress', - there were a whole lot of beautiful dresses, but none of them were WOW!!!. Then I saw a pic of a dress in a magazine and KNEW it was my dress - except no one had it. I called every store listed on the designers website - from Westchester to Montauk and nothing! I was sooooo upset. Then I went to another store and described the dress to them - the woman pulled a dress off the rack that looked EXACTLY like what I had seen in the magazine, but was just by a different designer. I was soooo happy, jumping up and down I tried on about 10 dresses there too, and the one I knew was mine was the one I finally wound up with

I knew I had my dress because it was all I could think about afterwards :)

it's so annoying to hear it, but you'll know. my grandmother says that when you keep looking at yourself at different angles in the same dress...that's it. you know. when i did that and she said 'look what she's doing,' it was it.

i tried on about 20 dresses or so. i found it at the first store and just stopped looking.

i think i ended up trying between 30 and 40 gowns on before i found the one. but thats mostly becuase i was completely 100% wrong when it came to what i thought would look best on me. i thought for sure i would go with a very flowly grecian style gown but i ended up with a slim fit satin a-line.

i think it really depends on the person. its weird because i never take long to decide to buy something in a store while my twin my sister has to try on like every dress in macys before making a decision lol but when she bought her wedding gown she bought the 3rd gown she tried and me whose usually the most direct shopper bought like the 38th gown i tried

The 3rd one I tried on was 'the one'. After I tried on the next 2 dresses, I couldn't see myself in anything else so I just knew!

i had this problem too i thought i knew what i wanted so once i realized that i didnt the attendent just kept bringing out dresses and in my head i was like yea ok this is fun and there prettty but i was like how do i kno its THE dress!?!? so then i tryed on a lace dress which i was arguing that i DIDNT want to try on and i came out before looking in the mirror and strangers were like omggg you look beautiful and then i looked in the mirror and cryed!!!!!!!!!! thats how i knew i neverrr thought i would really cry i thought that was a myth but it happened and i knew! so i tryed on others to make sure and nothing compared gooddd luck!!!!! it should be a fun experience im actually kinda sad mine id happen so quick

I tried on a lot of dresses, and even though I knew my style, I tried out a couple of other styles just to be sure I didn't like them. I 'found' my dress at the 2nd or 3rd place I went, I just didn't know it until I tried on the same exact one at another place and said this is it. My friends mom was like 'you know that's the one I told you would be 'the one' like 10 stores ago'

I went to a trunk show of a designer I liked and the 3rd dress I tried on, everyone started crying. Then I tried on about 4 or 5 after that and EVERY dress I said I liked the 3rd one better. The person from the design company told me to stop looking because I'm just going to keep going back to that dress. SOLD!
