How many extra invitations did you order/are you planning on ordering???
I know I don't have to buy invitations yet but I just thought of something...how many 'extra' invitations did you purchase???

We need about 65 & we ordered 75. I'm glad we did because it looks like we're going to use about 70 now thanks to our ever changing guest list

We need about 68 but 75 seemed like we were cutting it too close. We're thinking we'll get 100...we're getting a deal so it doesn't matter! Extra is always better!

I made my invites and needed about 145 but made 160. We only have a few left after all the 'changes'.

I haven't ordered yet but I was thinking of an extra 25 in case of the printing being messed up on any or any problems... but its also a lot cheaper to order them all ahead- if you have to go back and order extra after you original order is placed- someone told me you pay extra

I need just about 100 but for most places I looked at, I'd have to get 125. I wish I could just get an extra 10-15.

When I ordered, I could only get them in multiples of 25, we got about 40 extra (we invited a lot of people and had a high minimum so we wanted to have a decent amount of extras just in case we weren't able to meet our minimum)

We sent out 93 invites and ordered 125.
We had to order in blocks of 25 and having only 7 extra would NOT be enough. You need extras in case you have to invite the b-list, in case you mess up some of the envelopes, and in case (like me) some of your invites come back and you have to send out new ones.
You'll also want one to frame or put in a scrap book, one for pictures... Mom and FMIL might want an extra one for framing / scrap book / photo album, too.

most invites i've looked at you had to order in groups of 25. so if you only have a few extras, i'd order a whole other group of 25 just to be safe.

I need 79 invites and am getting 100.
25 extras is usually a good number (I have 21 extras).

we order 25 extra and glad we did!
at first we thought we were going to have a lot left over but we only have 5... and no envelopes!
so def order extra.. some people may not get them or last minute people get added...

We are ordering about 25 extras... our's only comes in groups of 25... so even if we only needed 5 or 10 extra we have to order 25 anyway...

We ordered about 50 since we had a B list (which we did end up getting to) so then we were sure we had enough! Plus I had some for scrapbooks and my shadow box, etc, etc. I would say 25 extra is usually a good number for most.

I am having 150 people at the wedding and when we did STD's I messed up on 5 envelopes... I am ordering 10 extra invites for that exact reason
