We're inviting about 140 people, but after counting couples, we only need to send 90 invitations. But we have about 15 couples on our 'B List.' And then I know you order extra envelopes in case the calligrapher messes up. So how many invitations and envelopes do you guys suggest we order????

Since you may need up to 105 I'd say you should go w/ 125...100 won't necessarily cover you and an extra 20 should be more than enough...
keep in mind too that while you may need extra envelopes for mistakes you won't need extra invitations and enclosures...we only needed 90, ordered 125, used lots of extra envelopes and now have a big stinken pile of invitations, reception cards and response cards that I'm having trouble just throwing away

I agree with ordering 125.
The invitations I got were from Birchcraft from Party City and the only thing I got exactly 125 of were inner envelopes, I got extras of everything that was custom printed.
They also gave me an insert where I could pay a flat fee for as many extra envelopes as I needed/wanted.

you can only order in denominations of 25, so I guess I will just get 125 of everything, since we might need to send out 105 in the end.

we originally believed we'd only need about 60-65 invites. so we were going to order 75...but they were like 'you'd probably be better off with 100' and i was like 'um, no'
ultimately we wound up ordering 100...and used 77 invites, and i messed up on about 10 envelopes!! LOL so it was worth it ordering the add'l 25

I ordered an additional 25..we're inviting about 250 people and ordered 150 invitations.

According to my list I needed 114, that wasn't including people from my job or FHs job b/c we are still unsure of who we are going to invite, but - I ordered 150. So I should have PLENTY of extras. You can only order in mulitples of 25 and I figured 125 would be cutting it close.

I would definetly order extra. Just incase for mistakes and if you end up inviting some people that were not on your list in the begining. For our engagement party we needed 80 invites and we ordered 100 we have left over but I am glad we did cause we added extra people last min.

125 sounds good to me. It's good to have the extras-in case someone wants it as a momento and they accidently ruin there's. Plus, like you said, you have the B list to send invites to.
