I sent out 144 invitations...there were 259 guests invited. I am giving each couple and each single person a regular sized bottle of wine as a favor. Do you think that 130 bottles is a good number to order??? I would prefer extras to be on the safe side and the extra wine will not go to waste Should I just order the full 144 bottles and anticipate lots of extras...just incase I get an unusually high number of 'yes' responses???

Have you received your responses yet? I would wait until you receive some back and feel out who is a yes and a no... I didn't order my favors until last week. RSVP date was 9/1

We are doing one bottle of wine per person. We invited 185 and bought 14 cases (168 bottle). We have 140(ish) coming (still waiting on a few responses ) , so we definitely have extras, but FH wants to give some to people who can't make it to the wedding, too. And, like you said, the rest will be put to good use

I would order like 140 to be on the same side because you want to take into acct for the single people and the couples and you never know who will be a last minute yes. Better more than less and like you said....they wont go to waste :)
