I'm trying to decide between having only 1 MOH and no BMs, or 1 MOH and 5 BMs. I will either only have my sister and thats it, or if I start adding people then I would need to include 5 other girls. It would be nice if I just had my sister because I would probably prefer a small BP. How many are you planning on having??

we are having 1 MOH (my BF) and then 5 BM (2 cousins, FH sister, 2 friends) - with the possibility of adding my bros gf who may be a fiance soon...

I am also going back and forth with my bridal party. My sister is my MOH, and FHs sisters are maids. FHs cousin is his BM and my brother is an usher. We have a group of friends who we are practically family with. There are 6 guys, and 3 of them have gf's/fiances. Then I have a few girlfriends from college who I havnt spoken to in ages, but we always said we couldnt wait to be in each others weddings.
So my issue is 8 vs 4/5/6 on each side. How do we say 'sorry you didnt make the cut' to one of our close friends? And we both have a very hard time saying no to people (which doesnt help the siutation). But 8 on each side I think is a little too much. Then we contimplated just having family, but then it would be uneven- which I don't want. And THEN do I include those girls who I once was soooo close to, but now don't even speak with (I think in this situation I'm more concerned with their reaction to a 'sorry.. but no')??
It is a really big decision, and something that should be considered and honor. I think the size of the wedding party should be something that you are comfortable with & more important, the people included should be people that deserve the honor. I'm not officially announcing my party until after the holidays (as you can see we have a lot of thinking to do) but right now I'm leaning toward 5/6.

My sister will be my MOH and 3 BM- FH's sister and two friends. The bigger the wedding party the more issues people usually run into. I also heard that you bridal party size should go with the size of the whole wedding. If you have 10 girls and only have 100 guests it wont look right.
I think the smaller the better.

MOH (my sister) 4 BM (friends) 1 JBM (my oldest niece) and 5 FG (both mine and FHs nieces)....we wanted the children to play a part and we made the oldest a JBM since we are getting married on her birthday. FH has ALOT of male friends, so there is no guarantee who he will pick and he is not going to be giving it a second thought until next year (hes WAY no laid back than I am).

So far I have 1 MOH (best friend from college) and 5 BMs ( 2 cousins and 3 exroommates/close college friends) If I add FH's sister, and my other 2 future sister in laws that will be 3 more BMs and they are all married so I dont think i'm going to ask them as well...it'll just be too big!

Right now I know we are having 1 MOH (my bf)and 2 Junior bridesmaids (my cousin and FH's cousin). I don't really have any close girl friends and I would feel silly asking my FH's friends' girl friends just for the hell of it. I think we might just leave it at that. I feel like the smaller the better too.

I'm having 2 Matrons of Honor - My sister and best friend and 2 bridesmaids - both friends
FH is having 2 best men - his brother and best friend and 2 or 3 groomsmen - all friends

I didn't want a big BP so I'm not having my brothers or my sisters inlaw. If I add everyone, it'll be just too much for me. I know they aren't happy (because I was in theirs) but I just want it to be smooth sailing. The more people you have, the more drama there is. I'm doing just friends (other then my sister and his bro) so it's not like I'm having some without the others.
My mom is walking me down the aisle (my dad passed almost 20 ys ago) and I keep getting comments on how my oldest brother should be walking me. And to that I say too bad. I still have my mom and she'll do it for the both of them.
I am doing a special dance though with my brothers - so I think that will make up for not having them in my BP and if it doesn't... again, too bad. lol

I'm having 1 Maid of Honor (my best friend since 1st grade) and 5 BM (2 friends and 3 FSILs)
I'm also having 2 flower girls and 1 'secret agent' (FSIL that lives out of state... I plan on having her so something very special as a surprise for FH)

I have 1 MOH 6 BM's and I'm not having flower girls or JBM. And someone up there must like me because they all fell in love with the same bridesmaid dress and bought it for a steal at Davids Bridal already. That headache was avoided thank god!

I'm having (1) MOH my sister; and then either just one othe brides main (my best friend) and possibly FI best female friend who i'm closest to among all his friends. So it will only be 3 in my party.
