when we booked we thought we would only have around 130 guests then the list grew to 260. so we'll probably end up with around 200 guests. our photog recommends us booking a 2nd photog when theres more than 150 guests. i'm just curious to see what u ladies are doing. TIA!!

We are going to have around 130 people and will be having 2 photographers. It was important to us to have 2 b/c we want to have them split up during the ceremony and at the reception and get everything. Our main photographer will follow us around for most of the night while the 2nd will get guest candids and table shots if we decide to do those (we haven't decided yet on that). Also, if our portraits run long, the 2nd can join the cocktail hour and start to get those shots. But we hope that we'll be able to join in for the CH.

Hopefully around 175- 1 photog, 1 video, DJ zap shots (cheaper than a 2nd photog) I'm thinking of asking FHs photographer friend to take pics of him and the GM getting ready just so I have some of those pics.
I wish I could add a 'real' 2nd photog...but we just don't have the money.

We're having about 275 people, and we have two photographers and 1 videographer.

we had 170 guests and 1 photographer... honestly, i don't think you need more than that... too me, it's another expense that is not needed. your photographer is saying that to get you to give him more money. i have over 800 beautiful proofs and we only had one photographer. sure he missed a few things i would have liked, but that's life and i got many of those shots from friends... if you can't afford it, i wouldn't even stress about it.
