How many guests do you expect/ had at your shower

My mom keeps asking me and I was wondering what the norm was.

I think we are going to have about 70.. but I think that's a lot! My SIL had about 35. I think it really varies...

we had over 60, but that included kids too

Our WGL is at 324 right now- I don't want her to have to shell out a zillion $$$ for a huge shower too!

I just did my preliminary list today and it looks like we have around 40-50

My worry is my mom will invite about 30 and FMIL will turn around and hand her a list for 75! No exaggeration! That's my nightmare. My poor mother is the sweetest woman and would just pay for it and not say anything!

The list I gave My Moh was 50 people....probably at least 10 will not come.

You speak to her nicely and tell her, your mom is having 30 or so ppl and I want it split evenly...try to say it as diplomatically as you can

I had close to 60.

I was actually going through my guest list for the wedding and doesn't it just kind of work out to be the females from your wedding guest list??? That's how mine is turning out!

i have the same problem w/ my FMIL - she wants to invite all these people to the shower that i barely know - they are FFIL's cousins. I really want a small shower, but I think its going to be about 60 people!

I told one of my bridesmaids this and she said she won't let my FMIL push her around - since it's my shower, not hers! so can you have someone in your bridal party say something to her?
