I'm pretty regular 9-5, with occasional nights and weekends. Benefits of state employees! My last job was more like 8-7...

I do OT Monday-Thursday at my real job, then Friday night I wait tables, and a double on saturdays waiting tables so def over 50 hours..I feel bad for DH, he does over 50, and full time student..plus commutes to midtown, my commute isn't so bad since I am downtown.

At my present firm, I stick to my 9:30-5:30 schedule ... 40 hr workweek, or I guess technically 35 hours (accounting for lunch hours)

At my previous firm , I worked a LOT of overtime.. it was paid overtime and I really liked working there in general!

Then again I wasn't even dating DH when I was at my old firm, so I really didn't mind working crazy hours.. now I just like to get out and get home to him

8:30 to 4:30..5 days a week. I rarely stay late because I don't get overtime..

I work 6am-2pm so 35 hours a week. I can work overtime til 7pm if I choose to. I usually don't though.

Day 8-4 (7.5 hrs)
Night 7-10 (3 hrs)

Total weekday- 43.5 hours

My hours are 8:30 to 5:30. Depending on project deadlines, I'll work later than 5:30. I don't get overtime and usually eat lunch at my desk so I end up working btwn 40 - 50 hrs a week.

Hmm, well i'm student teaching, so sans planning time, it's 35 hours/week. Then I babysit and tutor, which adds up to another 4 hours or so...

im a student and work about 15 hours a week. i feel bad for FH who works (and i know this is hard to believe) over 100 hours a week. He owns his own business and works 7 days a week, from 7am until 10pm.

I answered for how many I actually work...not necessarily how many I am clocked in for.

I am just asking because my average work week for the past few months has been 60hours +. This week I am putting in 80hours. I am just trying to get my life together and find some balance.

My whole life is suffering, I m making a slightly larger paycheck, but it is hard to say that it's all worth it.

Hillary Clinton came to speak to my college graduating class and one thing I remember is her saying, 'Making a living is not living a life. When you are dying no one will say they wish they spent more time at the office.' When I worked on Wall Street one of the few female traders took me aside (I was 21 or 22, straight out of college, and she was probably 45)...She said I have so much money and no time to spend it and no one to spend it on. Kind of put everything in perspective for me and I quit that job shortly after. I took a huge salary cut--about 1/2 my salary--but I can say my quality of life is so much better.

I passed up a management job here which was alot more $ but alot more hours. I like my free time more than $ I guess.
