How many hours a day do you work? - mini vent

On average, how many hours a day does everyone work? I do 10 on average with the occasional 13 hours a day. Then a 2.5 hour round-trip commute to the office and back. Plus do occasional weekend work. I think I'm getting burned out. Wedding planning on top of this is stressing me out big time.

I work 8 hours with an hour lunch break and a 1 hour roundtrip commute.

i work 8 hours 30 min lunch break and 45 min to work and 20 mins home cause FH picks me up

I work 7.75 hrs with a 45 min break. 20 minute commute each way. I hope you are getting paid overtime for this...

I work 8-10 with eating lunch usually at my desk - I am in the middle of looking for a new job really hate mine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I work 7 hours a day and there's a 1 hour break on top of that. My commute is roughly an hour each way.
My hours are 10-6, so my days start and end a bit later than most people I know, which can be a bit frustrating, but overall it's a sweet deal because I can always get to the gym in the morning or sleep in a little later than all my friends.

7.75 hours per day, 1 hour lunch break, 1 15 minute break... and a 10 minute commute.

usually i work 8 hours at my main job then teach/tutor 2-3 a night after that. From start to finish with travel about 12 hours a day. It is tough.

I work 8:30 -5:45/6 and eat lunch at my desk. I like my job so I don't mind it . During month end (2 days a month) I work 8am-7pm but I get paid overtime.

im scheduled for 9 hours ( 630-330 ) but get a 1 hour lunch so im technically only working for 8

commute wise..i live like 5 miles from my job lol

12.5 hr nights 3x a week with a 30 min (60 round trip) commute. Technically I get an unpaid 30 min break in there and 2 paid 15's - but that rarely happens! I walk in the door at 8am so tired! The life of an RN... And this fall I want to get a per diem job somewhere (maybe and extra 3-4 days/month. Nurses have a huge burnout rate! Whatever I'm young and childless.

I end up averaging about 9 hrs per day/ 6 days a week. I have two jobs, one of them is only 15 mins from my house, the other is 45 mins

8 hours a day, with a 1 hour lunch. So really I'm generally working 7 hours. That's NOT when I get caught in visits or emergencies and have to do overtime.

Oh and my commute to the office is only 10 minutes, but I travel all around the island for my job.

isnt there a law over a certain hours you should get time and a half? Maybe I am mistaken.

Lately I have been working 9 hr day incl 1 hr lunch and 1 hr is OT and it takes 20 min to and from work

For covered, nonexempt employees, the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) requires overtime pay (PDF) to be at least one and one-half times an employee's regular rate of pay after 40 hours of work in a workweek. Some exceptions apply under special circumstances to police and firefighters and to employees of hospitals and nursing homes.

Some states have overtime laws. In cases where an employee is subject to both the state and federal overtime laws, the employee is entitled to overtime according to the higher standard (i.e., the standard that will provide the higher overtime pay).

Extra pay for working weekends or nights is a matter of agreement between the employer and the employee (or the employee's representative).

7.5 hours a day 9-5 1 hour lunch and it takes me about 20 min commute both ways

I work 8hrs a day with an hr luch br8k and its takes me about 45mins each way. Wait my job is not done there, I come home to my twin boys who are very active and are in the (terrible 2's stages lol)
