How many hours is your Reception?

Just curious, mine is 6 and 1/2 hours. That is including the cocktail hour.

My ceremony is at 6:30, so guests will start arriving at 6 and be greeted with champagne. The ceremony is from 6:30-7, CH is 7-8, reception is 8-12. All together it's 6 hours, but really only 5 hours of eating! lol!

7 pm hospitality....fruit kabobs and champagne
7:30 pm.....ceremony
1 hour CH
4 hour reception

so i guess 5 hours (extra 1/2 hour in the beginning)

Our entire wedding is from 11:30 - 5... ceremony, cocktail hour and then reception

hi - just curious, what is a pre-cocktail hour?

I think pre cocktail hour is a time where your guests may arrive early and they will have drinks waiting for them.

thats what i thought it was, thanks. when i asked fh what it was he said 'its something we don't need.'
