How many invited to your Bridal Shower?

How many people do you planon inviting to your shower?

My MOH's are asking me to start putting together my list (yayyy they are taking interest). So far my list (including all the BM's) and my moms list is 30. My FMIL probably won't invite anyone because they are all out of town. Does 30 seem too high, or does it seem ok?

Ugh, I don't want to think about this yet. I'm guessing maybe 50? But I'm also guessing I may have 2, one in Maryland and one on LI...i just don't know

I have been a BM many times and myfriends showers have ranged from 40-80...depending on sizes of families and whatnot. The one who was approaching 80 we had at a house to cut costs....I have to start working on this so I can be ahead of the game with something. My friend mentioneed it like 4 months ago but our other BFF is getting married this weekend so they are all preoccupied but I have a feeling as soon as this wedding is over they are going to be hounding me. My dilemna is work??? Im t hinking I should skip them entirely.

I'm guessing my list will be huge because I was in a sorority (probably like 60 or 70). But most of them don't live that close so I'm guessing half of them won't come

If your list of family & friends is too large then yeah I see no harm in skipping work. If there are women that youhang out with outside of work I would invite them under the 'friend' category.

They probably will. Or you can ask whoever it is that will probably be throwing your shower if they want you to get it together.

I'm inviting about 45 but about 5 or so are courtesy invites since they'd have to fly in for it and I'd rather them come just for the wedding.

it depends on how many people you are willing to invite and pay for.
who is paying for the shower and who will be paying for the guests? its best to ask them just how many people you can invite.
i had about 60 people at my shower.

My mom is handling this one so it's the ONE thing for this wedding I don't have to plan. THANK GOD!

She seems to think she has to invite every female that's invited to the wedding whereas I would prefer to keep it a little more intimate.

I'm guessing mine is about 80. My FMIL said it's tradition to invite every female family member on her side...it adds up quickly. I feel so bad for my mom who is paying for it :(

My mom is taking care of this (Bless her!)... she guarenteed 50 people. My guest list is about 60. I didn't invite any co-workers, although my FMIL and Mom will be inviting a couple of theirs, which is fine because I met them all and love them

Also, my BM's don't have to pay for anything. They are just responsible for the games!

Unfortunately my wedding is very female heavy because we have soooooo many females in the family and then all the dance school people so I'm afraid to even count.

I have 30. FMIL didn't want to invite any of FH's OOT people because she said it looks like we are 'looking' for a gift. And she won't invite her friends for the same reason. Whatever - it saves my Dad money.

Im actually just scared because my school used to be antisocial but now all of a sudden they are not. Last year my friend was prego and I was invited to her reg shower but I was already planning a school one (i was like the first to throw a school one in years) so i didnt go...now some other people threw a school one for someone else's bridal. I feel like they might do it for me bc I did it for my friend so I dont want to invite them 2x. I just feel weird not inviting them. Plus my mom is deceased so my cousins and friends would prob have to do something so I want to keep it small for them so its cheap.
