My fiancee and I are in discussion about how many girls are TOO many in the bridal party. I already have 7 girls, but I really wanna ask my cousin, and she wants to be in it really bad, but my fiancee says 8 girls is too many. Soo, my question to all you ladies out there is HOW MANY IS TOO MANY!? I believe that 8 is not too much, plus one flower girl. One of my roomates from college has 13 including 3 flowergirls!! Thats a little over the top for me, but I dont think 8 is too much. Please post your opinions.

i think it depends on how many guests you have at your wedding. Like if you have 30 guests, youdon't want 10 people in your BP, ya know? but other than that, do what you want.

Have as many as you want, may I make a suggestion though? When it comes to picking out their dresses, don't bring everyone at once! I had a hard enough time with 5 girls!

I don't think the number is important. You should have who ever is important and close to you on your special day.

I have 9 girls and FH has 8 guys. My policy on this is the more the merrier. You're lucky you have so many close friends/family that want to be a part of your special day.

Yeah, I don't know what I am going to do about the pictures, I want to ask my cousin to be in it, but FI is worried because she is only 18 and everyone is much older, that she will not be able to do everything we want to do.

I have 6 BM's 2 Junior BM's and a flower girl-in my opinion you adding one more wont make a big difference if you were looking to add 3 more or something then it would be a different story but if you want your cousin I'd go for it

I have plenty of people in my life who are important to me and who I love dearly, otherwise they would not be invited guests to my wedding. There is absolutely NOONE on my guest list who doesn't have a special place in my or my FH's heart.
However, I feel there is little honor to those in the bridal party if anyone and everyone is in it. That is why I chose to limit my bridal party to three adults on each of the male and female sides.

Ok Ladies,
Thank you so much for all of your feedback!! It made me feel more comfortable with having a larger bridal party. I think my FH will cave and we will have the 8 girls!!! I mean, she IS my cousin!! And I really want her in the party. He knows how important it is to me.
Currently, we are having a cap of 200 invited to the wedding. We MAY go over that by a small amount when it comes down to setting the final guest list. So I dont think that 8 is too many. I think he might only have 6 guys, so 2 of the girls will have to walk down the isle alone ...or in a pair.
