Re: HOW MANY ITEMS.....
the dude at BBB told me 3 per guest but that seems RIDICULOUS for me.. his reasoning was to make sure the guests had lots of variety to choose from. But I think its dumb because Id be putting crap on there that I really didnt want.

Re: HOW MANY ITEMS.....
I picked out the items of my registry as if I was waking up from the first day of my honeymoon.
-I would hope there were sheets on the bed -I need my morning coffee -and something to drink it in -some toast from my toaster oven -a dish to put it on -don't forget the broom to sweep up the crumbs
I registered for things I use every day.
Don't get me wrong, I also asked for a few extras but don't go overboard. When my friend got married she asked for a bread maker. Needless to say, she sold it at a garage sale last year still in the original box. Do a walkthrough of your apt in your head and think of your daily routine. You will know what is necessary and what is extra.

Re: HOW MANY ITEMS.....
There is a lot of stuff and I still have to add more. We do not live together and we both live at home. We have nothing.

Re: HOW MANY ITEMS.....
Macy's suggests 2 items per guest... But when you think about it...spoons and little kitchen stuff adds up!

I know what you mean. I have sooo much on my registries and I am not even done! But it does give your guests variety and whatever you don't get, you can purchase with the completion program if the store has it. You are not being obnoxious at all! Better more than not enough I say!

Re: HOW MANY ITEMS.....
I wouldn't worry about be obnoxious. Put what you want on the registry. If at the end you recieve something you don't want, return it and purchase something you wanted but didn't get.
Just think there are people who register at a lot pricier store. Tiffany's anyone.

Re: HOW MANY ITEMS.....
i was told for 175 guests that i should register for at least 2 items per guest. I'm not sure how many on there I have on there right now, and I still have to add bedding and linens. I have plenty of items on there that are more than one like 2 frames, or several place settings etc. Register for whatever amount you feel comfortable with.
They say the more you register for the better, because then you're giving your guests a variety of price ranges to choose from.
