Yes, ONE ALONE is hard, so I can imagine how hard ANY MORE can be (MY mom reminds us aLL THE TIME ) She has us twins, then my brothers were 17m and 3 1/2!
'and they didnt have all the commodities we have NOW, back then' so how dare WE complain (Im sure we've all heard a line like this before ) and Thank Goodness my father was very helpful 'for those times' (when 'it was ok' for men to not feed or change the babies)... he fed and changed us alot, but of course when he worked, mom was home with all of us, AND Babysat others

your parents sound like good people...

God bless your parents, Anna! I can't imagine having 2 toddlers and then being blessed with twins!

Dh and I sort of agreed upon 2 (he would have like much more, I was leaning towards one). Once we had twins, part of me said, that's it. He, on the other hand claims I agreed to 2 Pregnancies! I refuse to discuss it at this point -- I just can't imagine having an infant right now.

Funny aside - I found my new copy of Twins magazine 'hidden' in Dh's bathroom. I had not yet read it. Once I did, I realized why he hid it -- there was a small article that said once a woman has twins, her odds of having another set increase five fold. He admitted he didn't want to scare me!

I have none now but want 3 I am an only and my DH has a sister. So I figure
1 + 2 = 3

I'd never want to have one b/c being an only child I was always lonely and even now I miss having a sister or brother. There's nothing like family!

I have two(one of each) that was good enough for me!! I was the oldest of 5 with a large age difference between oldest and youngest and I did a lot of babysitting as a kid. By the time I was married I was sick of changing diapers!!

I want 3, 2 is too little and 4 is too much

DH is one of 7, and I'm one of 2. I just love the idea of a big family, but without lots of help, it's just too much for me!

I was an only child and while I wasn't particularly lonely growing up, I'd like two mainly because if Pat or I ever get sick and need some sort of help in our old age, I don't want only one person to have to worry about me. I guess that's sort of a selfish reason, but I really think two is a perfectly round number and of course, I would love one of each.

Jenn-you do what you have to do. If one is it, one is it. I know just the thought of two college educations gives me a headache and we're not even TTC the first kid yet.

I always told Steve I just wanted 1 but recently my best friends father passed away and she is an only child and I saw all that she went through. She cried to me that she wished she had a brother or a sister to go throught this with. After that I told Steve I want another one

I always thought I wanted two. But after my labor experience, and the condition that I am prone to, one is looking better and better! We'll have to wait and see what God has in store for us.....
