How many Knew..

I knew, I just didn't know when it would happen. He kept on saying he wanted to do get engaged, but nothing. So I was like what the hell.
It wasn't the trip or dinner thing. LIke I thought it would be. It was actually after dinner, we were walking home and he kept on rushing me. I stopped to tie his sneaker and next thing I knew he blurted out this speech I can barely remember...LOL. I couldn't stop laughing. Tears filled my eyes. We were so happy. We tried to tell his parents right after, but had to wait a week cause we couldn't get them together. LOL We finally did and they were really happy. He asked for my mom's blessing and she cried:)

Oh yea he chose the ring and did a great job. He designed every apect of it and it's antique inspired. I love antique rings.

I had no idea, it was such a big surprise to me, I was in shock

I knew it was coming, because he family went to Barbados to get my ring. I know he wanted to hold off to throw me off, but he couldnt! His fam came back 2 days before our 5 year anniversary, and he proposed 5 years to the minute that he asked me out.....5 years to the minute we were next to my garbage can!!

Same here. I had picked out a few and he narrowed it down to one. I just didn't know exactly when it would happen.

We never talked about when we were going to get engaged, and I didn't want to tell him what kind of ring I wanted...I wanted it to be a surprise...over the summer it came up when we were out, and he said that I would have no clue when it would happen, it is going to happen on a day when I didn't expect....so I knew he was planning something. He kept getting phone calls from his family, and they were shady, and he wouldn't tell me what the calls were about after he got off the phone...I knew something was up. He also asked me to check his cell phone voice mail one day, and his aunt left a message asking how diamond shopping went. I figured it was going to happen....

We went bowling with my dad, and apparantly when I went to the bathroom, he asked my dad's permission....
My dad TOLD ME that he was planning on proposing on New Years.....(He was drinking, I was pissed..)...I told my stepmom, and she told my FH to change the date....

Sure enough...I got home from work and he asked if we could take the dogs for a walk...thought it was strange, but went along with it...he was a little too happy on the walk, and I thought maybe he was going to ask me....and sure enough, he did! He said he wanted my dog to be there (he was 12, and getting old)...and we ended up putting my dog to sleep a month later. He knew how much my dog meant to me, and he thought it would be nice to have him there....so sweet!!
Anyway...

I am dissapointed that I knew he was going to propose...I really wanted it to be a surprise...but it was sweet nonetheless.

I told him I wanted to get engaged as a graduation gift. he did it a little early! haha

i was dropping hints BIG time.

4 weddings in 5 months got me a LITTLE frustrated... not to mention the entire year before, Jesses Girl (diane), ant n tilde (matilde), Dana523 (dana) AND jenn122397(jenn) ALL got engaged before me... bah... so i was pressing REAL hard bc i knew them all when i was in JHS.

i eventually gave up realizing he prob doesnt have the $,and me in school....

my best friend told me... she was drunk. i was pissed. i told my other friend what i heard, she spread it liek wild fire FH changed his 'ideas' and totally shocked me!

after he told me that im now one of the JHS girls to get engaged and married in 2008.
