Just trying to get an idea of what the 'norm' is with this regarding how many limos are necessary. Here's the senario . . .
We'll be doing all the 'getting ready' at the RH . . . seperately, of course, not seeing eachother before the wedding. I'll be in the bridal suite w the girls, FH somewhere else with the guys. We all need to get from the RH to the church (about 30 mins away). First FH said we'd need 2 limos (one for the guys, one for the girls) and I want a small car for FH and I after the ceremony (a Bently or whatever) so I'd ride in the 3rd small car with my Dad.
I also pointed out to FH that we could get one 20 passenger Hummer for the entire wedding party to ride from the RH to the church, then after the ceremony FH and I will ride in the Bently and everyone will get back in the hummer.
FH thinks there's no need for the Bently. He says just get 2 limos, one for the girls and one for the guys. He doesn't think the guys and girls are suposed to ride to the church together. I hope he intends both of us to pile in together with one or the other after the ceremony.
Maybe I'm wrong here, but I thought it was tradition to ride alone in a small car to the RH right after getting married? Someone help me out lol!

Re: How many limos?
i find it so funny when the guys talk wedding. and starts making up their own 'traditions'.
if you get 2 limos, how would you get to the church? would you ride with the girls?
also do you want the guys and girls to go to the church together? if so will FH be in that limo? then how will you get there?
i have no advice.. just some questions for you that will hopefully help with the decision. i have no limos yet bc like ur FH mine keeps making up his own crazy rules and regulations..
hth
ETA: yes i also thought it was tradition to get a car to ride back to the RH.. FH apparently disagrees!! but i agree with you on this one!!!!!!!!!

Re: How many limos?
I like the idea of getting 1 big limo for the BP and a seperate car. I know those cars are usually very expensive. You might want to shop around and get prices for both scenarios.

Re: How many limos?
Depending on how far your church is from your RH, you could have a limo bring FH and the guys to the RH, then come back and pick up the girls and bring them. Then you could go in the small car with your dad.
'Tradition' says you go separately with your dad to the church, and then separately to the RH with your FH. In my case, for this part of the wedding, tradition is thrown out the window. My father and I are going to the church with all of my BM's. FH will go with his parents and GM's. Then FH and I will go WITH the BP in the limobus to the RH after church.
It's really entirely up to you and your FH how you want to handle the limo situation.
