I'm trying to figure out how many limos I need for the wedding day:
1 vintage car for my dad and me 1 stretch for the bridesmaids 1 stretch for the groom and groomsmen How about family? Do I get a limo for my family and a limo for his family? What's the norm?

I didn't get any limos for the family, but I think other girls may have. It is up to you, if you want to spend the extra money for them. Since we had both lost our jobs that year we were kinda short on cash so this is one of the things we opted not to do.

Here's how we're doing it:
Before Ceremony: (1) Bently for Me & Dad (1) Mom, 5 BM's, 2 FG's, RB, 2 Ushers, 1 Jr. BM, 1 Jr. GM in 14 Passenger (1) FI, His Mom & Dad, 5 GM's in 10 passenger
After Ceremony: (1) Bently for FI & I (1) 14 passenger for 5 GM's, 2 Ushers, and 5 BM's (1) 10 passenger for 4 parents, 2 fgs, rb, jr. bm and jr. gm

1940 caddy - mom dad and me 2006 escalade- bridal party- pick up guys 1st and his parents and then drop off at church and then pick up girls at my house
after church caddy for me and fh

We got an old fashion car for me & my dad. Then we got an 18 passenger escalade which will pick up the GM at my FH house & his parents & grandma & go to the church then the escalade will coem pick up everyone at my house. We are getting a 10 passenger limo for our parents & grandparents which will arrive at the end of our mass. I don't think you need two separate limos to pick up the bridal party unless you need two limos after the ceremony.

I got a towncar for the family - but that is only because my family is very large and i felt better just doing it - than stressing others out the day of my wedding.
but - why do you need 2 stretch limo's for the BP???

I think I'm confused because of where everyone will be and I can't really figure out a timeline that makes sense.
Ok, the BMs and I will be getting ready at our new house in Commack. My dad will be there and he'll come in the car with me. The Church is in Westbury.
My fiance and the GM will be getting ready at his parent's house which is in Westbury (church is in Westbury too).
So I figured 1 limo for the girls from Commack to Westbury and 1 for the guys from Westbury to Westbury (duh). But then I have his immediate family who mostly live in the same town and my immediate family who are in Queens.
I may be learning impaired but I just can't figure out how to make this work???

hmmm........i see your dilemma......it would be ideal (and less costly) if you could re-use the one car - but the bride can't be @ the church first - or can she??? i never heard of it - but - i don't know -
unless - maybe the church has a rectory or something you could use before the ceremony - then the car can take all of you (your BM's & Dad) to the church - then run & get the guys (who are right there) - and then you will be out of sight - and he will have never seen u before the ceremony....
just a thought - i am not really sure if I even like it - and it was my idea - but i figure i'd throw it @ you.....
as far as family & stuff - they sound so scattered and seriously - they are not your problem. i would not worry about them. especially since from Queens to Westbury is a short trip.
in all honesty - explain the sitaution when you go looking- msybe they have some bright idea that you would have never thought of...
